The conference will bring together philosophers from throughout Africa, the African Diaspora, and the Americas (Latin America and the Caribbean, and North America) to address contemporary challenges, especially the meaning community, liberation, health, and ideals of the beautiful. The conference will be simulcast and sessions recorded to create a database of debates for future web casting. The dialogue from the conference as well as individual interviews of philosophers will be made available after the conference for educational uses and as a resource for continued debate.
